I mentioned this to a colleague at work yesterday.

Really liked the first one so looking forward to seeing if the second is any good

The book, p***., which is the sequel to Trainspotting was one of the few Irvine Welsh novels that lived up to his classic (Filth and the Acid House maybe being the other two close contenders).

Is the film based on this, which given the subject matter and content seems unlikely.

I think it is based on P'orno, which was a great read. A Decent Ride and Blade Artist are both good but not up to Trainspotting and P'orno.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Getting close now.

Don't think I've ever looked forward to a film release this much.

Hope it doesn't disappoint.

27th January.

Marabou Stork Nightmares is one hell of a book.

I did like it, but I don't think it quite hits the same level of endeavour and immersion that made Trainspotting really stand out.

I'm in 2 minds on this film as I feel I'm going to be let down by it.

The 90s for me were my most favourite time. When the first film was released I was in my late teens riding high on the wave of New Labour, Britpop, A decent England Team, cheap booze and badly cut speed.... Didn't have a care in the f***ing world.

Theach first film for me just kind of epitomised that era. Not sure this 2nd film can come close.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

My concern exactly, its a little corner of the era when my life really kicked into gear.
