I am amazed Mandanda hasn't come in for more criticism. His shot stopping has been poor (apart from 1 great save). The modern identikit of a premier league goalie is being 6ft 5 and coming out and dominating your area from set pieces, we are now conceding goals from corner etc. because he doesn't come off his line. Analysts from other clubs are looking at him and dropping corners, free kicks on our 6yd line and putting our centre half’s under huge pressure. I think we should put Hennessy in for the Burnley game, I think he was better than Palace fans gave him credit for and had a really good Euro's. While I am ranting he is another Pardew buy that isn't shaping up
Saoure - jury still out whether he is a good premiership full back
Kebaye - has not lived up to price tag/wages, not guaranteed starter
Tompkins - looks average
Townsend - been disappointing
Sakho - championship player
Chongy - too inconsistent
Wickham - injury prone, has looked uninterested this season
Benteke - no brainer

Don't think we will win another home match before Pardew's 2 year anniversary, that could be 2 home wins in a year, as much as I want Pardew to be a success too many cracks are appearing, you judge a manager on buys, tactics and improving players he is looking average on all counts

Mandanda is the best keeper we have, and has made some terrific saves so far, its not him that needs work on, its our defence. A keeper can only be as good as his back 4. In my opinion he has been brilliant and would have him over Wayne any day. Our defence will improve I'm sure......3 Points at Burnley, positivity!!!

Bravo - error prone
Kolarov - suspect defensively
Stones - complacent, makes errors
Kompany - always injured
Otamendi - goes flying out of defence, often leaves holes
Fernandinho - crap going forward
De Bruyne - can go missing in big games
Ageuero - injured a lot
Sterling - bad hair

Marky

I actually agree with a lot of your comments.
I accept that you and I in broad agreement is a very worrying development as far as you are concerned !

Come on, if you're going to criticise our players, at least try and spell them right!

And it would be 3 home wins in a year actually, excluding cup games.

couldn't have put it better myself, it's so easy to point fingers at him because he's a "big name". Mandanda can only do so much, it's our defence that needs to figure out how to mark players properly

Not sure where your going with this but I watched the champions league last night and De Bruyne was MOTM against Barcelona, and Guardiola has made Sterling look a decent player! I agree with the hair though. Also my point was specifically Pardew buys don't think Guardiola has bought all those listed

I’ve got no problem with Mandanda but I suspect if we’d signed him from Torquay, he would be getting absolutely slated by now.

So, it's Pardew you have the issue with then?

Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan

well maybe, but I still do think we're being a bit harsh, I seriously doubt any of our other keepers could do much better

In my opinion, Steve Mandanda is the best keeper Palace have had since Nigel Martyn. He's got a shed load of French International caps and has saved us/made very few errors. I still think people are being overly critical of him collecting crosses. Regardless of whether a keeper comes for the ball or not, no player should be totally unmarked or given a free header in the box. Therefore the biggest problem is the way our defence has been. I'm sure with Dann fully fit this weekend and not playing against the likes of Firminho and Coutinho we will be back on it
