I think he needs to be shown a red card. Probably a nice fella but a very predictable and boring pundit. Seems he will never concede that Zaha is fouled. Yawn...

Especially when you have Murphy next to him (ex Liverpool) stating it's a definite penalty.

Murphy is a real student of the game and a while back I heard that Martin Tyler expressed the view that he would be a manager one day.Maybe he isn't interested in going down that route but would prefer to continue with media work.

We all know that the perceived big clubs, never get preferential treatment, but last season a clear dive by Benteke, a Liverpool player was unanimously declared an excellent piece of reffing by all the ex playing pundit fraternity. After watching 12 angles in super slo-mo and zooming in on Benteke's studs they were all happy that contact means foul and well done Liverpool.
Yesterday Wilf was knocked off balance and stumbled over the next defender, yes no contact there, but the original clip just outside the area caused the stumble, but no, he " went down to easily" (the latest meaningless mantra) so no foul apparently.
Second time clear foul, contact, trip, barge, all on Wilf in the area and so far only Danny Murphy has called it fairly. Clear penalty all day long and potentially the third equaliser of an enthralling game and then who knows what happens, especially if Cān walks, which IMO opinion he shouldn't, because not every foul is or should be a booking.
Thirdly the challenge on Benteke, the clearest of all the fouls to me, was a "clumsy" challenge, so clearly clumsy challenges are not fouls, no matter how badly you impede the player. The conspiracy theorist in me believes that two of these would of clearly been given against us, three at Anfield and all the "experts" and boy do I use that term lightly, would of sanctioned every one of them.
It really does seem that a foul on any other player in the league is not a foul on Wilf and for anyone who claims he goes looking for them, well that's his and every other tricky wingers job and he doesn't go down anywhere near as easily as old FFS.

I have to say I don't think I've ever disagreed with anything Danny Murphy has said. I love listening to what he has to say. He seems to always say good things about palace and to be fair most are pretty much justified. Shearer on the other hand seems to be totally the opposite.

Danny Murphy has always been a great thinker of the game.As a player he used to read the game brilliantly and Houllier once commented that he reminded him of Platini in this respect.

What is Shearer's beef with us?

He NEVER gives us any credit when we win, consistently denies us a penalty in attack and always agrees with all penalties given against us.

Who or what at Palace has p1ssed him off? It can't be just Pardew or Warnock... Shearer has always hated us in my experience.

Murphy made him look a right grumpy muppet last night!

I agree that he probably hates Pardew, but that has only ingrained his previous disdain for us... as I said even before that with Warnock, where almost every pundit hated us because of Colin's antagonistic persona.

Shearer has bad mouthed since day one of joining MOTD and I'd like to know why?

Another point of Motd. They didn't show the flares set off by liverpool fans and thrown into the pitch. If that was palace fans do you think they would have mentioned it? And hos did they get them into the ground, is it just home fNa that are searched.
