Or will we be branded as "fake fans" and "bed wetters".

The smugness from some fans was almost as cringeworthy as the smugness from himself after beating stoke Sunderland and Boro.

In the last 31 (yes, 31) games we've won 5 - that includes the 3 mentioned above.

Someone please make a case given our first 11, which genuinely has quality, that that is good enough.

All this "team in transition" is aload of turd as well. When we win games like we did against stoke it's because of the players we have on the pitch and the fact Pardew likes high intensity and power. Besides that he is clearly tactically inept - I thought that even when we were on a good run.

Expecting to get a fair bit of abuse and contemplated saying anything but in fairness I don't really care - some people really need to wake up.

We haven't played with our first 11

Why do you have to skate him. Nothing wrong with criticism, slating him when we are mid table comes across as whiny and needy

Also Pardew has the highest win rate of any manager since Bruce

Our squad in the last 31 games has been more than good enough to win more than 5 games. The manor in which we lose is the worst part as well. It's a completely woeful record I honestly cannot see how people can disagree with that

Average, mediocre manager at best. Are first eleven are decent enough but the squad is like the manager average & mediocre at best.

Won't disagree with that but we have just lost two games against teams that on paper and the pitch are better than us. Where's the surprise?

Leicester on paper aren't better than us really. People are getting carried away because they won the league - would swap Fuchs with Kelly, Huth or Morgan with Damo and Mahrez with townsends but other than that I don't see any superiority "on paper". My biggest issue with Pardew is I don't see any improvement - if results were poor but you could see evidence of us evolving then fair enough but it's bulls*** in my opinion. Tactically we have looked completely lost for a long long time and we only ever seem to look good when we do the exact thing pardew supposedly wants to come away from which is sitting deep and nicking a couple by set pieces/on the break. The reason we are good at those things are because of the defensive foundations laid out by Pulis.

Under pardew, as time goes on, we look weaker and weaker at the back - regardless of injuries. It's all well and good saying you want to change the style of play but the goals we've scored this season have typically mainly been from set pieces or headers from Benteke. The only change I see is us looking more flimsy at the back.

My point is we should expect to win more games given players we've signed under him, if we go on a little 3 game run it's nice but I honestly do not think many managers would've struggled to beat Sunderland Stoke and Boro with the players we had at our disposal. I just don't see us pushing on and fulfilling our actual potential under Pardew.

I still think we have done very o.k considering half our squad is Championship standard. Every win is welcome and a relief.

Fulfilling our potential? Well actually we are with the players at our disposal. If you want us to be in the top ten regularly we need 12 better players to replace the twelve Championship level ones.

Until then I am happy. With Pardew and with the points.

Plastics and bed wetters you mean?

Anyway, we have two matches coming up that might be considered unwinnable and two that are definitely winnable ... if we get naff all out of the four then Pards could possibly be in trouble?

Why, what will that achieve?
Make you feel better? Maybe raise your own,"I'm right "smug meter?
I have reservations about the manager and have had about every one since Bert Head, but constantly wanting change is not a good thing IMO. We need some stability still after years of turmoil and who knows maybe sticking by a guy may work out well for all concerned.

I agree dangermouse, if we did change is there any one out there better? I do think we are a very attractive club to come to now as the board will support!!

I think it's relatively simple to be honest.

Ward - not good enough
Kelly - not good enough
Delaney - not good enough
Tomkins - average

Dann is our only good defender, arguably Pape on a very good day.

Without him, we just look completely lost. No leadership and we lose a threat at the other end too.
