So 10 mins or so before the end of today's game at Leicester we go 3-0 down. At this point some palace fans decide to go home early. As they are going down the steps and out of the exit some guys start having a go at them. In particular one guy is going mental at them and effing and blinding. At one stage a woman with purple hair is actually trying to restrain him but he carries on. I watch a bit of the game and then turn to find that he has now got some bloke in a headlock. There then ensues some argy bargy on the steps with others getting involved until the stewards rush in and eventually cart the protagonist off. The woman involved looked pretty shaken. Hope she was ok afterwards. Edited by Direwolf (22 Oct 2016 10.02pm)

Where abouts in the Palace end were you? I was on the far left, right next to the goading Leicester fans and I've got to say I was disappointed at the behaviour of some Palace fans around me. Grown men behaving like kids.

Saw a couple of people getting escorted out. On a similar note to your original post, walking to the ground saw 4 young lads and one 30ish having a row with each other. Seemed like the group were taking the mick out of his missus. Really doesn't look good, fans fighting with each other.

If he was having that "banter" sitting next to me, he'd be in hospital this morning.

I was on the far left, closest you could be to the Leicester fans. I have to say after yesterday I've changed my opinion on them - they're scum. When the first, second and third went in we had lots of bottles, coins and some sort of black tape lobbed at us. Ofcourse some Palace fans retaliate but then somehow only Palace fans then get nicked? The policing was clearly double-standards yesterday. Home fans behaving pathetically and getting away with it, granted Palace were no angels.

The policing and stewarding was quite comical. All we kept getting told is that their offenders were all on CCTV so would get banned which of course is total BS. Despite this, I was sadly disappointed that we didn't appear to show any unity of support and allowed them to out-sing us on every occasion - if Palace support is supposed to be so special, this was a bit embarrassing actually.
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |
