Strange, given the Referee Persecution Complex, that no one yet has been on here to make a comment.

Could it be that Martin Atkinson is considered here to be a 'good' referee? UEFA and the FA consider he is - but then they feel the same about Mark Clattenberg.

No doubt if Atkinson does something remotely controversial and deemed so by the Persecution Brigade
we will hear and the abuse will start

Personally, our refs. are generally excellent and I would never blame one for a Palace defeat. True Clattenberg wasn't good in the Cup Final but we would have lost anyway to a better team.

Will be interesting to see how our 'new look' Palace side measure up when we play United later.

The "persecution brigade" moans mostly about Clattenberg (fair) and Jon Moss (fair). Martin Atkinson is alright in my book; can't wait for the game - should be a good one.
