Watching Wales I noted that Joe Ledley takes all the corners for them. And he knocks in pretty good ones at that, one of which resulted in Gareth Bales headed goal this afternoon.
I've never seen him take one for Palace which is odd given his ability to produce a dangerous cross.I wonder why we don't use him sometimes as an alternative to Puncheon for example.

I was wondering about this as well. His delivery from the corner was more than decent but most of ours come from Puncheon or Cabaye. Even if they are considered "better" at it it would be good to mix it up.

He's got a cracking left foot, didn't he use to play left wing when he played for Cardiff?

Joe had a cracking game till he went off - hopefully injury not too bad. And he took corners from both sides and all of the with quality. Really hope Alan P. stick with our Welsh dragon in midfield - Hennessey had a decent game too vs skilled players from Georgia.

yeah he has a cracking left foot and agree we should use him for some off the corners to give the opposition something to think about.

The beard to be feared.

He's pretty useful in the air though and I'm sure his first goal for us was a header from a corner. I'd rather see him in the box as an extra threat than taking corners when we have Puncheon and Cabaye etc for that

Ledley's stats Pre-beard indicate he used to contribute with a few goals every season, it seems the beard has changed his style of play

It was, when we beat WBA 3-1 and Ince scored the first.

While he might take a decent corner, he's a much better header of the ball than Punch or Cabaye is.

Optimistic as ever

Ledley is tall but I don't recall him being much of a threat at corners.Whereas Cabaye and Punch both seem to float the ball in Ledley puts a bit of pace on his corner kicks.

Did he actually touch the ball today. Not having a go, just genuinely interested to know if anyone saw him touch the ball at all?
