Barry Bannan in the first 11 for Scotland this evening ahead of Jimmy Mac? Am I missing something? Strachan must be a wee tad bonkers?

I'm guessing it's not a case for of dissing Bannan, more of the difference in calibre of opposition on a weekly basis. One plays in the Premier league and the other doesn't. Seriously if we all had a choice of Bannan or Jimmy Mac for Palace we would stick to what we've got!

If it was say the Germans away, mcarthur plays. But the flip side of the coin is strachan. Not playing mcarthur away to Georgia in the euro qualifiers cost them big time, the guys outstanding. Slowly for me becoming one of the finest midfielders ever to wear our shirt. Fully expect as it's half time and drawing he'll be on.
