At the end of last season and after the first two games of this season,,to say there was a calling for the sacking of AP, with such a disastrous run, was an understatement.
The eventual signing of a true striker, and guess what, three wins in a row and an impressive result at Everton,a real turnaround in our form, and AP is being widely touted as one of the leading candidates for the England job.
Funny old game,football.

Will you accept a majority decision?

Pardew's smugness is back up to 80% with our recent good form, which is good for us while it lasts. He's good for our level at the moment, we'll see if he's learned to cope with injuries and a downturn in form better than he did last term. I still think the squad is a little thin but at least we've already seen that we can cope without Cabaye, Zaha and Remy is yet to play. Convinced that he'd be an absolute disaster for England though.

I can not see how any other manager would do any better with the players we have at the moment. Our manager and some players will be heroes and villians in spells over the whole season in some of our fans eyes.

..now you have to break that down a bit, to simply say that it was a disastrous run is suggesting that we didn't turn up and didn't perform during it, but we did turn up and we did perform in all of the games in this run, but if you are going to include all the deflected shots that went into our goal and all the unbelievable silly stupid decisions from the stupid overworked and extremely dumb referees and all the very silly mistakes from individual players (that have nothing to do with Pardew or the other players around the said culprit) then yes it was a disastrous run.
I can very easily highlight all the stupid silly cock ups and mistakes for virtually every game and not once would it have had anything to do with something Pardew has said or done.

yes agree the disastrous run is overdone.

The defenders and midfield kept the goals down and the 3 teams that went down were all -20 and over.

The cup final after ties against PL opponents except Reading.

Looks like they are getting more savvy and stronger this year so hopefully have learned from the bad experience.

And always - have some luck .....

I've supported Palace for over 50 years.
I cannot think of a better time to support Palace who are becoming an established premiership club.

At last, we have spent decent money on a much-needed striker ( who is actually doing the job he is paid for ). We have a chairman who knows what he is doing and an experienced ex-player at the helm. I'd hate to see AP go.

Selling Bolasie was a brilliant piece of business He was entertaining, yes, but was he worth £27m ? No way !

We now replicate the team of the 90's. But hopefully not the bounciness of the following years.

Yes, I know we have had bad runs, but so do most teams. Give them a chance to prove we are getting there. Support them at every opportunity. We are Palace and they are our team.

Plus to get 4 points from 6 with Dann injured is massive , I was seriously worried about how we would cope without him
