When Bolasie left, he was quoted as saying he was looking forward to moving to a 'bigger club' and progressing his career at an 'ambitious club' - understandably that upset some Palace fans. I wasn't thrilled to hear that quote but seeing we were getting circa £30m, enabling us to fund the purchase of Benteke; I figured it was good business all round and a positive move for all concerned. Now, whilst I would admit I don't want Bolasie to go on to become a superstar for another team, I was pretty shocked to hear a bunch of lads sitting near me and my fiancé calling him a 'f***ing c**t' and was equally bemused to hear fans around us singing "your just a sh*t Wilfred Zaha". Given that Wilf was having one of his less memorable games, the irony was not lost on me. This also made me think about the fact that only a few weeks ago Wilf himself said he wanted to leave for Spurs. Am I therefore to expect him to call called a 'f***ing c**t' in January if the club decide to cash in and upgrade? Fortunately with it being Friday night and a good 5 hour drive, there were quite a few spare seats so we simply moved and found ourselves surrounded by likeminded palace fans and were able to enjoy what was a fantastic performance by the lads. Pardew is getting is right and palace are on the up. As for Bolasie, he remains a powerful, entertaining, passionate footballer who will perhaps never quite fulfil his potential, but let's not vilify him for choosing to try - and remember that it was only a few weeks ago that we were singing "going down the wing for me". Football at its fickle best. Up the Palace.

Was they calling him that before or after he almost snapped Joel Wards legs in half? Because I must admit I was calling him similar things after that.

Spot on. When a player like him leaves i would expect a good reception seeing the service he has given us plus the price tag

After the first 20 minutes or so we seemed to have Bolasie pretty much sussed out. He can cross a decent ball under ideal circumstances but his aim goes off if you put him under pressure and deny him space. Only problem is he's fast. By about 75 minutes he seemed pretty frustrated and started fouling and getting booked (admittedly not hard with that ref). I also think he got a different Palace from the one he expected. He evidently did need a new challenge though so fair play to him. Anyway Townsend is a better fit for us now.

Didnt think the tackle was that bad and certainly not malicious. With the pace of the game its small margins between and excellent tackle and taking someone out. Looked like Bolasie actually got the ball. His trailing leg took out Ward. Admit it didnt look great though.

Wars was fine No,it was one of the few yellow cards that was actually warranted last night. However, Bolasie doesn't have a malicious challenge in him it was honest but clumsy.Unfortunately clumsy can still break a leg and therefore a yellow was justifiable. For some peculiar reason Koeman did a bit of a Pardew with Bolasie last night and pushed him in a more central position.I think it helped us more than them as he had less space to operate in and it lessened his threat.I questioned AP when he did it but now Koeman has tried it they must see something I don't. Love Yannick to bits, but it seems cpfc have just as many stereotype football fans as any other club. Maybe even more, as a lot of clubs welcome back players that have only done half as much as Bolasie to establish their club. Still you only have to read this board to see how many delusionals we have. Hope Yannick goes on to be an even bigger star in the future. Edited by Dangermouse (01 Oct 2016 9.31am)

Firstly I was a huge Bolasie fan, when he was with us respect him that he wanted to make more money/bigger club etc. But.... Firstly and I know this may seem silly to some people, but his statement to Palace fans after he left was down with an Everton shirt and Everton background, then the way he celebrated after Everton scroed was like Nobby Stiles, no need. Have nothing against him but now I have nothing for him, would not clap him when he returns to Selhurst.
