In Simon Jordan's excellent book* he talks at length about his problems with agents. Morality aside, I quite envy these agents their sheer bravado and ability to make money out of a lack of any human qualities. It made me think: how do I get to be an agent? Are there any courses? If prisons are universities of crime, where do I go to get trained in agency work? I imagine the core skills needed are; But are skills enough? A lot of agents seem to have a dad who was a football manager, so it might be one of those industries where you have to know someone first. Any advice? * Yes, I know what you're going to say. I have to say I liked Simon Jordan's book. He's a great writer and his story is very entertaining. I accept we might have different opinions about the great man.
