Well done pards for making us a more possession based team and not just relying on the wingers. Townsend is an absolute gem of a player and is the main factor behind our new style. Great on the ball and not a headless chicken like our previous loveable winger!!! Tomkins was solid as well. Always believe in Super Alan Pardew.

The new style of possession play is nice to see and we seem to be creating a lot of chances now. Last season we were trying to pass it, probably not as much as we are doing now, it was slightly more direct, but we did not look as likely to score as we do now
