I don't think anyone would disagree with that team. Campbell and Sako fighting eachother for thaf last place on the subs bench

Famous last words from myself! I think the only change that could make sense is Cabaye starting ahead of Ledley. Based on reviews on here, Cabaye was shocking yesterday, and probably won't be risked to start after playing a full 90 after 3 days earlier on his return from injury. Ledley deserves to start IMO.

You must be the only one who thinks the team doesn't pick itself this Saturday at Sunderland. We have an obvious 12 best players and 1 position in question so I'm not sure how you can doubt the OP's team.

I was more making reference to the fact that EVERYTHING on this site develops into an argument.

Although if I was being pedantic, if we have "1 position in question", it's pretty easy to disagree with the OP's team...

(not that I do... I'm just saying...)

Oh yeah I see.

But on that 1 position being if Tomkins isn't available then surely Kelly has to play there leaving a hole at LB to be filled by Ledley meaning Cabaye comes in? The only other alternative is bringing in Flamini and the lead in his boots. And further I'd limit the shuffling around of defenders. By that I mean keeping Ward at RB rather than shifting him over to LB to bring in someone (Flamini) at RB who isn't fit anyway.

I know this may sound like an odd suggestion, but I was thinking against a team like Sunderland could we play Puncheon at LB. He has a great left foot and can hit long passes (sometimes even accurately). Although he is prone to giving the ball away he can actually tackle. He also often comes deep looking for the ball anyway. I wouldn't risk this against a top 10 team, but against an out-of-form Sunderland? It could work I think. It would certainly be better than playing Fryers again.

If Tomkins is not 100% then I really hope Pardew doesn't put him in the team just because we're short. We would be better off having a s*** defence for one game rather than losing him for longer.

Dann is a massive loss tho! Apart from Defoe I don't think Sunderland are anything special and Moyes is useless. Should at least be getting a point.
