If Tomkins has sustained injury, our fit PL squad defenders are: Ward, Kelly, Dann, Damo and Fryers.

Five players for four slots even if midfielders could do a job at full back. At CB we have 2 with Kelly able to do a job. That is risky.

Zeki MUST play for the experience. I'd also put Kelly at CB, again for the experience of being in that position. Any promising kids we could blood in defence?

We do have Luke Croll who is out on 'Loan' at Exeter. Also Ryan Inniss.
But we cannot just blood "Promising kids" into the PL at the present time.

Willo sir. That's why I said at Southampton in the league cup. Definitely no blooding in the league. That is the point.

I see.Never realised you were talking about 'League Cup'.

I think we only really have Croll and Inniss and they are both out on 'Loan'.In recent seasons we have had Quade Taylor, Alex Wynter,Jerome Binnom-Williams involved to some degree but they have all left.

Just as well Innis avoided prison then.

Can't Flamini play in defence as well?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Looks like he may well need to at some point.

If Dann or Damo got hurt, Kelly goes in the middle and Fryers get a run at LB.

If they both got knocks I guess Ward goes CB but then who'd be RB?

Anyway Southampton is a good chance to try a few things.
