Thing is with a player like Townsend, all his shots are quality but a lot of them come from so far out that he will go long spells without scoring.

Think he was unlucky Sat with that deflected shot. It looked like it was heading for the back of the net

I'm hoping at this stage that we just don't get any more players forced out with injuries. Following Souare, I think that all squad members should undertake advanced driving tests! (Tongue-in-cheek)

his game was always about playing on the right. cutting in and shooting with his left foot. cos wilf can only play right side...andros now has to play left. he can use his left foot to cross and will create plenty. but the cutting in now is not on his favoured foot. so I don't think he was score as many believe whilst being played on left wing.

True but I'd rather he hit the line and crossed with his favoured left foot which is his primary job. Maybe less cutting in and more following in on attacks coming down the right. Parrot

Hasn't had too many free-kicks in good positions yet either.

A Spurs pal said that, by the time he left them, his cutting in and shooting trick had been massively found out. Opposition would have someone waiting for him to cut in and he'd get dispossessed very easily. If we make his right wing appearances rarer they may be harder for the opposition to plan for when he does do it.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

He needs to take shots from better locations to have confidence he'll score soon. The following tweet gives some interesting insight [Tweet Link]
Not often you see goals from where his were on target and would be goal of the season if did.
