After watching the highlights of our game against Boro. I feel our midfield is more balanced with mcarthur and Ledley with puncheon in the advanced role. Cabaye form has certainly drop since the turn of the year. I just feel he doesn't deserve his place back until he proves it.

I know that pardew loves him, but his set pieces are poor and slow down our attacks. I'd much prefer a workman midfield.

Cabaye is a class act but I am beginning to believe Mcarthur is the key player for us. I also believe Joe Ledley is a very good underated player.

Definitely needs to be made to earn his place back.

Certainly a better team performance yesterday, but think probably the form and work rate of McArthur had a lot to do with it, Having said that everyone was saying Cabaye was playing well at beginning of last season, but his dip in form coincided with McArthur's injury. So with McArthur playing well (hopefully) Cabaye's form should improve.

Yes pete58 I think you are right, just watch Mcarthur's performance and workrate yesterday. Cabaye is a class act but he is and never will be a world class player IMO.
