Not sure if this has been discussed yet. But considering Parish said that he won't be sold in 'this' transfer window last month, why have we yet to offer him a new contract? Our POTY, and best player on the pitch yesterday. I am very surprised we haven't. His value will increase also by doing this. I am not sure how much he is on currently, but he deserves to be nearer the top end of our wage structure (Which I believe he isn't). Thoughts?

Apparently, signed a new contract not that long ago although some talk of a new deal may be negotiated.

He's on £35k a week - OK not the most at the club by a long way but surely enough for a 23 year old to live on.

OK he had his head turned in the Transfer Window with Spurs up to their old tricks tapping up young talent at other clubs with silly offers and unsettling them, well done Steve Parrish for blanking them, I was just happy to see Wilfred back smiling yesterday, their left back George Friend must have had nightmares last night, keep it going Wilfred and time now to look at new contract, you would have to be blind to see the way the new television money has changed transfer fees and wages already and we have to keep up or lose our top players, i don't like it but it's a fact of life

Shearer always chats s***e worst pundit going....just hates Palace anyway so what's new....
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

If we are serious about Zaha, I would put him on £60K/wk for the rest of the season. That should give him a big boost. If he continues like yesterday he will be playing for England soon. His speed was scary.

Yes he was our best player on the pitch yesterday but in many games he is anonymous. He has the potential to be a real super star but he is not there yet. He needs to be more consistent and score more goals. So he needs to produce more displays like yesterday so that these become the norm not the exception. When starts to do this then his contract situation / wages should be addressed

Good post, I think we need Wilf and so should give him a better and extended contract.

Alan Shearer is trying to get a rep going for getting lots of laughs by slagging players off, taking over from Alan Hansen. It would look better if he weren't such a t***, of course.
