WTF is he supposed to have done?

ISTR that appeals in these cases were determined according to whether or not your name was "Cantona".

No idea, whatever it is I guess they were not expecting a custodial sentence

This is the whole article, no info re crime committed

SOUTHEND United's on loan defender Ryan Inniss is unavailable for selection after pleading guilty to a criminal offence.

It is understood the defender - who is with the Shrimpers until the end of the season - has been sent to prison.

Inniss joined Blues on loan from Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day and has yet to make a first-team appearance for Southend.

A spokesman for Crystal Palace said: “Crystal Palace Football Club are aware of the Ryan Inniss court case and sentence which is subject to appeal.

"Therefore, at this time the club cannot comment further on the matter, for legal reasons."

Very unusual article as not only does it not say what he pleaded guilty to but it also doesn't say how long his sentence was.

A plea of guilty is an indication that it's 'has done' rather than 'supposed'. Hopefully a spell in the slammer will teach him self-control and to keep his fists to himself.

Sounds like he's been a silly boy, 14 weeks sounds like a message that he's not above the law even if he's a footballer.

Considering I don't think anyone heard about the altercation that lead to this and that he's only been given 14 weeks. I'd have thought the incident wasn't terribly exciting.

Hope he serves his time and puts it behind him and we hear no more of this sort of thing from him.

(Obviously this is all my own opinion based on no facts)

Bottled someone in a club in Beckenham, Would not leave things alone and was his own fault. Could finish his career for a moment of madness and to much booze inside him.
