Someone posted about this in Palace Talk the other day. Statistically yes, sounds like a good sale. Stats dont necessarily represent what he meant to our club though!

Its like monopoly money falling from the sky - except it isnt, it is a reflection of how successful our league is. Almost every transfer is an overpayment at the top level - even the modest ones at the end of the contract just get priced into the salary being demanded. Put simply - we have paid premium price for a forward. Whether we got one will depend on how many goals he scores (other things impact on his contribution but at that level he has to deliver goals)

28m, I don't think you need stats to say that's good for an asset you purchased for 350k. Granted you have to factor in his value in terms of preservation of premiership income, but provided you can survive without spending more than 27,650,000 on a replacement, its great business.
