If England was a club team in premiership how do you think the would get on ?

I think they would end up 10th to 12th in the league at best

Actually they're doing a pretty good job of making West Bromich Albion look like England.

I honestly think they would struggle to make top six.

We don't have many players who are the stand out in top 6 club sides. We do have a lot who are just average premier league players and we also have a few in our squad who cant even make it into their clubs sides starting XI every week.

I understand why we all HOPE that England do well. But it baffles me when people EXPECT it..especially in the latter stages of tournaments.

England haven't beaten a decent side in the knockout stage of either the Euros or the World Cup since 1966.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

They'd be us of last season. Win all first half and offer hope but then it turns out to be a false dawn and we go back to being s***

I suspect they would all end up in hospital as no football is played in the Premiership, only rugby.

There's a bloke down my road who walks round in a Tesco's carrier bag. Turns out he is a brighton faggot.

Top six. If they trained together week in, week out and were linked specifically to one personal objective (i.e. not club or country), with a decent manager, they'd be a formidable opponent.

There aren't really any players in that team that aren't capable of performing at a high level in English football.

Don't forget that Sam Allardyce is the manager.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Perhaps a different way to look at it is think of a side that most England players would get in to.

If you take Man U as a benchmark - finished 5th last year - and think who could get in their team? Obviously a degree of personal preference, and depends if you consider new signings...but my gut instincts were...

Could Make their starting XI:
Rooney
Shaw
Walker

Could NOT make their staring XI:
Hart
Cahill
Lallana
Henderson
Rose
Vardy
Sturridge
Walcott

50/50
Stones
Alli
Dier
Sterling
Kane

Based on that I would repeat with sixth place (Southampton) and seventh (west Ham). I think the majority of the England team would probably make the starting XI in these teams..?

All of your 50/50's play for sides that finsihed higher then United.

Deli Alli, despite being a c***, would walk into any side in the prem.
