Reported in todays press that he is considering his future at West Brom due to the failure to attract new players in during the transfer window and the thought of struggling this season in the Premier League. Well at least he has given everyone an inkling of his thoughts this time round!

Not a surprise given his history with us. Worth noting that they did break their transfer record this summer as well to sign a player. But having said that I think it is fair to say their squad was in dire need to rejuventation. There are far too many very old players who are reaching the end there and as they don't replace them gradually each window, the revolution that will be required at some point will probably be damaging to their long term prospects.

Their signings in the 'Window' : Nacer Chadli £13 Mill In terms of their ageing players I believe the following are 30 and above : Foster, McAuley, Olsson, Fletcher, Morrison, Myhill, Brunt, Gardner. Only Dawson (And now Nyom) from their defensive and goalkeeping options are not over 30. And they've got several 28 and 29 year olds as well. It is a very old squad. Edited by OknotOK (02 Sep 2016 10.21am)

They have new owners as well which I think is also the issue he is having.

He is stuck with that 'I will keep you up' role and did a great job for Palace. ('massively over-achieved') Berahino on holiday - well it is the football season....... they won't get anything for him either as he will see his contract out without straining himself.

It maybe also down to Jeremy Peace's parting shot verses the new owner Guochuan Lai who probably didn't entirely get to grips with the transfer window. Or that he (Lai) wants and demands much more control than TP is used to and likes!

I think Pulis is great at what he does...great at organising a defence, clean sheet king, 1-0 wins etc. But he has a 'high horse' streak that bugs me. At stoke I hated listening to his press conferences because no matter what happened, it was always a referee's fault. At us and now WBA he seems to think he is entitled to a war chest every window to rebuild a squad. If I was a billionaire owner...I would think twice about giving him huge sums of money because he has shown over a lengthy managerial career that he favours a distinct style of play that is dull for neutrals to watch and in all honesty, will never progress beyond mid table a best.

I think that many clubs including both West Bromwich and ourselves would be quite pleased with mid table

Maybe players don't want to play Pulis football.

He should become a one season specialist. Every year offer himself to the three promoted clubs with the USP "I will keep you up" (until one day when he doesn't) and then the next season he should move on to the next three promoted clubs. No one is expecting much excitement or progression under him after all. Hire himself out on reasonably expensive (but less expensive than relegation) contracts, rinse and repeat.
