I saw Kenny on Saturday at the Bournemouth game and he looked like he had been drinking. Sadly his friend Danny Foley post on Monday that "Kenny is struggling a bit at the moment". Today the Daily Mail published this story which indicates he is still coping badly with his alcohol addiction. Feel free to send Kenny your messages of support through Danny, and pray he pulls through his current issues.

Those pictures look set up, apart from his button undone he doesn't exactly look a mess. All we keep hearing is that he's homeless, well he's the most well kept homeless man I've ever seen. The only person who can help Sansom is Kenny Sansom. Seems to me he suffers from insecurity and self pity.

I think he should be involved with a football academy somewhere. He obviously is missing something in his life.

A tad harsh mate, out of interest, Have you ever known an alcoholic? Edited by moylerg (31 Aug 2016 10.01pm)

As someone who was a heavy a drinker as Sansom my way was just to work & keep myself occupied. Maybe moving out of Foley's boozer as well might help. Also of note If your not willing to help yourself other people tire of trying to do it for you.

I don't buy psycobabble rubbish either, but full blown alcoholism as opposed to 'liking a drink' or being a heavy drinker is an illness which I believe from my personal experiences sits firmly on the mental health spectrum. If left untreated it can and will kill you. Even with the intervention of treatment it can still kill. A Bit like saying to someone with cancer if you fight hard enough and have enough treatment you will get better. Well that's true in some cases for others the illness is simply too aggressive , too advanced and it will eventually take their life. Believe me its taken me a bloody long time to get to.the point in my life where I can sit here and say that confidently.

Hope he gets better. Alcoholism is a terrible thing that effects not just themselves, but the people that love them around them. Wish him all the best.

But he has been offered lots of help and support, but for some reason it doesn't always work, obviously the "pull" of a drink overcomes the strength to resist, look at George best, garza and others who have gone down the same path, hope he gets through it.
