I'm guessing Terry Butcher was unavailable.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

With the exception of Antonio, same old same old.

This is a squad that was woefully not good enough back in the euros. And he continues to pick Sturridge, who can't even get in the Liverpool team.

They turn in another poor performance, Alladyce deserves all he gets.

SQUAD

Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster, Joe Hart, Tom Heaton.

Defenders: Gary Cahill, Nathaniel Clyne, Phil Jagielka, Danny Rose, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, John Stones, Kyle Walker.

Midfielders: Dele Alli, Michail Antonio, Eric Dier, Danny Drinkwater, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, Wayne Rooney, Raheem Sterling, Theo Walcott.

Strikers: Harry Kane, Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Vardy.

Apart from bringing in Antonio, it's not very adventurous is it?

Looks pretty much like the Euro 2016 squad.

So... we can look forward to the same tired formation underachieving again I expect.

So, all these over-paid and overhyped prime donne will know that they will keep getting picked as long as they play for "big" clubs, and no matter how embarassing their performances.

After that disgrace against Iceland I'm surprised he didn't drop the whole lot of them.

I fully expect another shower of sh!te.

Why anyone would expect anything else - once they put Aluddite in charge - is beyond me. The only surprise is that Carroll wasn't picked.

And the continued shunning of Dann - in this case in favour of Jagielka and Smalling - looks more and more deliberate every day. If he played for not-Palace, he'd have been capped two seasons ago. This worries me, because players will see that playing for Palace will stunt your chances of international caps - which can only hurt us (Wilf being the most recent case in point).

Not if you're Welsh :-)

It's a little controversial as a Palace fan but I don't know if Dann should be in the squad.

If we're going to go on form this season then Jagielka deserves his place. Smalling is unquestionably a bigger talent than Dann and is so much younger. The one I could see an argument for is Cahill being dropped but that doesn't seem likely.

For me it is much more surprising Andros Townsend - who Fergie's Pet Hippo is known to rate - didn't make it in the squad. I think that will probably change though.

Walcott and Henderson making the squad seem poor decisions - and I think AT is unlucky to have been overlooked in favour of Walcott in particular - but otherwise there isn't much you'd expect to change in that squad is there?
