Suspect Remy might be next.
Squad numbers 3 & 8 are still vacant - could this indicate a quality LB and box to box midfielder are on SP's shopping list?
Incidentally, wonder what squad number Benteke will go for? He was 20 at Villa and 9 at LFC - both taken in our squad list.
SP & co haven't done are all badly so far and to accuse them of being tight after this mega transfer seems a tad inappropriate - or were you being ironic?

We've madd four excellent signings zo we need a couple of proper muppets to balance things out. We also haven't got uor zh!te striker on loan yet.

I think young would be perfect for the reasons you've stated but the big difference between him and the others is that legislation the fee would be more modest, there's no sell on value so I suspect it won't happen. Seems that's our focus and I don't think it's a bad one. Hope I'm wrong because I think his experience would be a fantastic addition.

A quick google re the benteke fee, I think I'm right in saying only Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, man city and Arsenal have paid bigger fees for a player (if we count it as 32 mil). I'm not sure in the big scheme of things what that means but it's worth noting - we are a long way from being as established a premier league team as the likes of Everton, Tottenham, Southampton etc. It's a lot of money but I still think it's good business given his ability and age etc. Well done the board again.

Anyway, the transfer has cost me a small fortune too since I'm on holiday in New York and have been checking the benteke thread every 20 minutes.

Next striker will be 3rd/4th choice so I'm betting will be proper pony as who else would come to us to be that low down the pecking order? Hopefully it's either a loan or someone young that doesn't require a massive outlay
