What does everyone think of this? Seems one for the pubs I think. bit annoying this one getting out work if we have home ones.

Be interesting to see if any of the "big clubs" have any away matches for a Friday. Somehow I doubt it! Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Was listening to SXM FC on the radio recently and the Friday night games were being discussed. The panel seemed think that this was done with US viewers in mind (not 100% the reason, but definitely in the mix as to why it's being tried), watching the game at the bar during Happy Hour. The only problem is, that would only work on the east coast and hardly that at all. Games would start at 3. Personally I work until 4, most until 5. So by the time they got home, games over. So I wasn't buying that. Now if Palace is on, I'll find a reason to be home, or my neighborhood bar at 3.

Anyone who went to Reading v Palace on a Friday evening will tell you what a wonderful travelling experience it wasn't. Really stupid idea for the fan who wants to watch live football but that's why TV give the PL clubs silly money.

You might not have as much traffic with people not going away for the weekend but its still a pain in the arse with a lot of people having work or kids school in the morning. I am sure the Thursday night europa football contingent say the same when they are playing in the arse end of freezing cold Russia on a Thursday eve Edited by Michaelawt85 (30 Aug 2016 6.36pm)

Just more pandering to the tv cameras. Trying to find a way around the 3oclock regulations to make sure they can show as many games as possible. Makes it very difficult for real fans who travel to games. But then we're used to Tuesday nights at Sunderland by now....

Bunch of killjoys, I thought Reading was great. Leave work and go straight to the game. Cracking atmosphere, everyone's up for it and if you win you have the whole weekend to enjoy it. Saturday nights are the bees' knees though. Just an extra two and a half hours in the pub. Boom.

Feel more for the Sunderland fans, they seem to have to travel to us on a Monday night, I'm sure I've done more Saturday games at the SOL than week day.

I think FNF worked well for the championship as they have far less TV games but the premier league really doesn't need this!! Horrific for travel and could be very expansive for fans - can't beat a Saturday match!
