Blimey - that takes me back. I (think I) remember his debut for us when he scored a screamer of a left-footed free kick. I think we won 3-0.. and Walsall comes to mind.. but that might just be where we got him from.. but yes, he had a left foot on him!

Always remember him as a wide striker rather than a central one . Maybe not a winger in the true sense but better than most when forced or drifting wide . Took some stopping for sure .

I can remember an amazing free kick he scored against Leeds Utd in a league cup tie in 1968,he hit the ball so hard.

He's a Walsall legend. May even have a statue to him (but then who else came from there)

Figured as starter in promotion team but never played in Div 1, I believe

I'd place only Harkouk up there in giving the ball such welly
