The facts from last season don't make easy reading.
We scored 39 goals in 38 games, the 2nd lowest in the Premier League. Only 9 goals were scored by strikers.
Teams like Everton, Southampton and West Ham scored between 60 and 65 goals. In order to get in the top 10 this season, we therefore need to score an extra 20 to 25 goals, hence the need to buy two strikers.
We also need to change the formation to two up front in order to do this. I would have kept Gayle as he thrives by playing with a target man, not upfront by himself.
So please find a couple of proven scorers and don't leave it transfer deadline day as usual.

Let's keep the ball this season!

We could have great strikers, the fact we don't create many chances is more of a worry. I personally think playing 2 midfielders would be a mistake as we would get over run in midfield. I think cabaye is to slow to play in a 2 man midfield.

Andy Johnson Magic, He wears a Magic Hat
When he Sees the match ball, he says he having that
He scores one with left foot, he scores one with his right
And When his playing Brighton, He scores all f***ING Night!

Is another winger really what we need?

sxp as blunt as usual. Still remember our BBC606 days getting the same response :P.

Think Jabber has the right lines. Get a big money striker in and maybe another on loan. Someone like Moses could be a good fit.

That'll mean we will have Striker A (Hopefully Benteke), Striker Loan (Moses?), Wickham and one of the youth strikers. Get rid of Campbell ASAP.

benteke and a flair type palace level David silva type player in behind.

there are players of that ilk out there for us to nab. I mean...Stoke got bojan...West ham got lanzini and a certain French world beater...

point is...there is a player of that ilk out there somewhere for us...just need to employ some better scouts.

689 crosses last season, only Southampton had more 696.

I wonder how many of those crosses went out for a throw-in on the other side of the pitch!

Yes but we played 3 in the midfield still got over run and created less chances! 2 in the midfield and 2 upfront does work look at Leicester for example

See I don't think we need a Number 10. We have Puncheon who will be a starter, and Joniesta should be given a chance in that position too. Swap the two during the season.

That's a fair few crosses but it's the quality and timing of the cross that counts. Countless times last season we needed a striker of 8ft plus to have any chance of getting on the end of them!

Also our wide players need to be educated to look up and time the cross better.
