I think that you could be on to something here. Promising young players from Championship league with much to prove in the big time OVER 30+ something mercenary Prem players with repeated bouts of injury ANYDAY.

Very sensible target, a young player on his way up.....if you look at Bournemouth all Eddie Howe is signing is young players with potential, and more importantly, sell on value.....sell Ritchie for £12m, buy much younger Ibe for £15m, Cook for £8m, and more....and what would Callum Wilson be worth now.........it's a good policy

The lad was great last season and he's been someone I would be very keen on Palace looking at. A genuine left sided player (not a converted right back), young, has plenty of full game experience and has improved massively in the last couple years.

Apparently has handed in a transfer request at the weekend and is being eyed-up by WBA, Burnley and Boro

WBA have been playing Chris Brunt and he is not a recognised left-back so I can understand them looking for someone in this position.

Burnley have had 30 year old Stephen Ward playing at left-back and he has been playing for his country in this position but he was originally a striker and has played further forward on the left-wing.
Ben Mee had been used at left-back but moved back to his more natural centre-half position when Michael Duff was out.

Middlesbrough have had George Friend playing at left-back and he has been good for them.
