I would be interested in what traveling Palace supporters think of Cincinnati, even if only based on spending a day or so here. I live here, so I have my own opinions, but would be interested to learn about others' perspectives. The good, the bad and the ugly--all opinions welcome. Thanks for sharing!

It was my first visit to the city and I was hugely impressed. The place is certainly buzzing, from the pristine riverfront packed with families to the renovation going on Across the Rhine, reclaiming those lovely old buildings. Loved the old jazz club. The locals certainly loved the fact we were there and a 35,000+ crowd, relentlessly playing back our own songs (and even the Icelandic Euro chant) showed not only their genuine passion and enthusiasm, but also that they watch the game. Queuing up to get in I chatted to lots of local fans and they all want MLS football and reckon their owner (wealthy grandson of the old baseball Reds club owner) will get it for them. Given the experience I had I don't doubt it for a moment, though they'll need their own stadium, not the uni's. Worth bearing in mind that the Reds played the same night and got less people through the door. I stayed up near the uni campus, which was just a short walk to the stadium and the whole place was clean and tidy. Of course, the sunshine didn't hurt. Thanks to everyone in Cincinatti - loved the experience.
