I think it would be more like Wickham providing an alternative if Benteke was injured. The only possible way I can see him joining us is guaranteeing him a starting place. He's a phenomenal striker.

This would be the biggest and best signing ever. I want this to happen so badly. He would fit our style so well. But let's keep our feet on the ground for now. Liverpool paid 36 Million for him last summer..........

The guy has no football brain whatsoever, it's painful watching him play. There are vast array of alternatives out there who are much smarter, cheaper, ad far better. Why Liverpool played £32m for him is completely beyond me. If we were to offer £12m I'd say we were being ripped off. Sorry but he's not the answer.

All in my humble opinion, of course. Be interested to know who you think these far better alternatives are for under 12 million??

Benteke's eye for goal is not in doubt and his ability to turn a game is arguable, but he would be a huge asset to our one up. However, I would place him in the Adebayor camp and question his work ethic. I think he might have a few motivation issues, yet that may be circumstance.
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

Klopp has got nearly everyone at Liverpool playing for him. Plus Belgium have got one of their best teams in history about to set foot in the Euro's championships. If Benteke can't produce the goods in these circumstances i can't see him doing it at Palace.

If we could get him playing regularly and back to his Villa form he'd be a great signing for us. I like Wickham but Benteke is a better goal scorer and that's what we're crying out for. I could see us getting him on loan but doubt Liverpool would price him within our budget.

I think he'd team up well with Clattenburg and get a few undeserved last-minute pens. Doubt if Clattenburg would sign for us, though.

He hasn't played that well for Liverpool, but when he was at Villa as the main striker, he was top class.
