I needs to provide music for a BBQ but don't really have the time to sit down and find and download everything so I'm looking for the best streaming site to compile the playlist as and when I think of each song. I would do a Spotify / Deezer trial but I'd rather find one I'll actually want to use after that period and not have to download the tracks again. What's the best value? I had Google Play Music but didn't really like the app so don't want to pay a tenner a month. Cheers

Hi Install Kodi, and the MP3 streams addon. You can download directly from there, instructions how to do this can be found on the MP3 thread in fun talk. To install Kodi, (works on all operating systems) go to [Link] to download the initial platform. How to get pretty much any tune you desire. Install MP3 streams using the instructions here [Link] disable the use golden path option and pre-cache and chose alternative source. Don’t forget that all these free services are fluid and constantly being upgraded and changed so if it doesn’t work one day don’t panic, google the addon name and have a look at peoples comments on the bottom of the page and there will normally be a fix, or a solution to your problems. Always struggled with downloads from MP3 Stream. It plays fine though. I'll have a look at those setting. I'll be playing / downloading to a tablet though and I've never really got round to any sort of sync between phone, PC and NAS so I'll want everything I've downloaded transferred back to a hard drive. Any ideas for that?

The MP3 stream downloads but it's not speedy, patience brother, it does work. The trick to have your music everywhere is to put all the music into Itunes and store your itunes library on the NAS. Set up home sharing so you can use iDevices everywhere, or pay for itunes match and your music is available everywhere. If you are using Android you can probably do the same with chromecast.
