How does a gold membership work out as value You are better off buying a season ticket and getting 500 points then selling off your seat to most of the games and then going to the rest for nothing. Just seems like a load of gonads if you ask me. I expect a few season ticket holders on here have already worked that at one out though

What do you want to get for a gold membership. I only get 500 points for paying almost £600 for a season ticket, so 200 points the ability to buy tickets after season ticket holders seems a good deal for me. Guess it depends how many games you want to go to, and if you want to go through the hassle of buying a seafon ticket and selling the games you don't want to go to. Your choice, but I don't see how gold membership is a bad deal.

Kev i dont want anything from a gold membership as what I am saying is that its not good value for 55 sobs i have a silver membership which you dont get any points for but you get points for every ticket you buy. Your season ticket is good value where as a gold membership is not Cant see there ever be a problem of selling off the games you dont or cant go to as I often sit next to plenty of tourists taking selfies at games and are there just to watch a game of premier league football. Kev you say it depends on how many games you want to go to all clubs are cashing in on this membership payment thing making you think you are getting something out of it while in fact you are not.

How exactly though do you sell your seat on for each game and keep getting your ticket back (given it doesn't come as paper tickets). I might be naïve in the ways of the tout here? In terms of getting good value, the season ticket has always been good at Palace. Where as membership, is only really 'good value' if you can only make a few games over the season, and aren't interested in becoming a tout. Although silver membership pretty much makes more sense. Edited by jamiemartin721 (09 May 2016 10.30am) I believe you can get paper tickets game by game, I sometimes buy them on here from people that can't use their ticket for specific games. Doesn't the club also have a process where you can give back your ticket for onward sale?
