I really hope they do it but would hope their fans refrain from buying these just yet:

I knew someone who bought a Newcastle shirt with 'Champions '96' printed on the back

I really wanted to get hold of a Liverpool champions t-shirt after Dwight Gayle pissed on their chips. I say I really wanted to, I didn't try very hard.

Football fans fail to understand the concept of hubris, again, shocker.

I heard you could trade them in for a 10% discount on plastic Man City shirts the following season.

Not sure which upset I enjoyed most, the 3-3 'f**k your league dreams' or Stevie G's last home game. Some Liverpool fans apparently spent 2k on tickets (although if they're such 'big fans' I wonder why they didn't have a season ticket).

Its nice that Stoke gave him a great final send off to match. I bet he couldn't get on the plane fast enough

I enjoyed all these things equally. I'd like to see Everton win the Premier League one day too, just to really twist their nipples.

I don't know what it is, some people really hate Man Utd, but I've just always hated Liverpool. I think its because growing up there were legions of 'Liverpool' and 'Man Utd' fans at school, but mostly the former. None of whom had any contact with the North, let alone those cities.

I was with a old friend of mine and his kid, who had been a Liverpool fan, and he and his kid were glibly saying 'they no longer supported Liverpool and now supported Leicester'. Took all my strength not to slap the kids face off, whilst screaming 'YOU DON'T CHANGE TEAMS'.

Kids huh, I blame the parents.

The Stevie G last game at Anfield was probably the most enjoyable, as I watched it in a pub full of fauxcers, who were acting like it was the second coming when Stevie G walked on the pitch, and then were giving it big time when they went one up (I hate people who sing football songs in pubs - go to a f**king game).

I briefly hated Man United during the 1990s while I was at school, for very similar reasons. However, since the rise of some of the other clubs just trying to spend even more than Man Utd to buy a league title, I've found my dislike of them ebbing away a season at a time. I'd definitely prefer to see Man Utd win the league over Liverpool, City or Chelsea these days.

I was only quite young at the end of the 80s where I think Liverpool had acquired quite a plastic following, but I work with one chap (born in Croydon) who supports Liverpool (precisely because they did well in the 1980s) and Brighton (since the Amex was built) and he is a bit of a tosser. I feel like the last few words didn't need to be added.

Well in truth, the words I was thinking of was c**t, so your probably right to include the words tosser, to show that he isn't as bad as one might expect.

I know a lot of Reading 'die hard fans' who when I was a youngster were Oxford Utd fans (who were by relative terms very successful for a period). That's like a Palace fan deciding to support Millwall or Charlton. My cousin married one of them.

Oddly no ones ever really had issue with me being a Palace fan, despite having been spent all by four years in the Reading / Oxford Utd catachment area. Most people just said why did you choose them. There is no point explaining why you support a team to people like that, when they think there is a choice.

If I could choose I'd definitely choose Reading, its 20 minutes walk from my front door as opposed to two hours.

Sometimes after a game, I just get drunk in the pub because I can't be f**ked with the 2 hour or more journey home!

I always loved it when Liverpool wore their 'F A Cup Finalists' shirts for the 1990 semi final at villa Park.......must be a collector's item by now.
