Hard to say, their problems certainly run deep.

Everyone knew he was the wrong man for the job though

2 wins in 20 games says it all.

At least Pardew has 1 win in 16 ,although our points tally makes for very depressing reading and the concerns of genuine supporters at our current run is quite understandable.

I fail to see how its the managers fault, given Villa have been s**t since they sacked Martin O'Neil and weren't all that with him. Successive managers have failed because the club isn't financially capable of competing in this league.

The words scapegoat defines Villa managers in recent years. They were down the moment they sold Delph and Beneteke.

Reports suggest that Garde felt let down by the players and the club. He never signed any senior players and I think the only player signed during his tenure was 17 year old Keinan Davies from Biggleswade Town.

A.Villa have had a reshuffle at 'Board' level' with prominent figures such as David Bernstein and Mervyn King now at the club and I'm sure club have have enough allure to attract some high profile managers.

Restructuring for life in the championship. I think that something they've really been doing since the end of last season.

A.Villa with their history, support and ground will still be able to attract a high profile manager in the Championship. If we were in the same position as A.Villa are now, we certainly wouldn't be able to attract that calibre of manager.

He had to go, really. They need a complete clear out in the summer and that includes the manager who no-one at Villa believes in any more, and I doubt he believes in the club/players either.

Start afresh, otherwise you'd have a Fulham/Magath situation. To think Fulham could be in League 1 next season is galling considering they were in the Prem for 11 years.

Was only a matter of time with a win percentage of just 10%, one of the lowest in premier league history!

As Palace fans we can be proud of our charitable club who have donated 5% to this cause! What a frustrating night that was...

I don't think Villa tells us anything at all about Garde's ability as a manager. It only tells us that he's not very good at picking jobs.
