Superb interview on Palace TV of one of the few Palace players who actually justifies the 'Cult Hero' tag. He clearly relished his time at Palace and regretted leaving. He is in my team of all time greats. Myriad players come and go, some better footballers than Michael Hughes, but he epitomised Palace spirit attitude and an overwhelming desire to win. A great man.
lo Selhurst silva felix, lo Selhurst cara nutrix, viget, vigeat, vigebit! Best team:- Jackson; Gilbert, Evans, Cannon, Sansom; Hughes, Kember, McNichol; Byrne, Holton, Wright. |

The fact that he gave Robbie Savage a slap would make him a "ledge" in anyone's book. I named a cat after him.... feisty little fcuker he was too! Never ever let Palace down in all his games for us.

Funniest thing ever! Savage took about 30 seconds to fall over and then he got sent off as well. Classic!

Little fella, big heart one of the best players I have seen in the red and blue. Boy, do we need some of his fight and tenacity right now, never say die attitude, great player for us.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Michael Hughes' by Guntrisoft Always admired him as a player tenacious and skillfull. With the atmospheric music and slow mo film....brings a lump to the throat thinking about some of the players that came together at a certain time and played their nuts off and cared about our club.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Michael Hughes' by Guntrisoft Was always one of my favourite players, but went up even further in my estimation when he stuck one on Robbie Savage. He started walking even before the ref could get his card out.
