Some football managers earn a fortune from being sacked

Not really surprising as the fans were leaving in droves yesterday, just like the Emirates today. Arsene next ?

His teams have good runs but they never keep it going he could be a good man to go to if you need a few wins to keep you up.

Are you for one moment inferring that Dougie should return in some capacity to help us secure the points we need to avoid the drop??

Hasn't Parish -- who remains a close friend of Dougie's -- always said he would be back at Palace one day? I'd have no problem with him having a role with one of the younger sides, or as a scout. He did plenty of good things in his time as manager here. One of the best things CPFC2010 have done is build the culture of the club around involving former players who have Palace close to their hearts. And whatever the reason for his departure, I don't think any of us can question Dougie's feelings for Palace. We all make mistakes.

In fairness to Freeman, how long do you think he'd have been in charge had he stayed on as manager, and gotten promoted. Already at the start of that season, people who have criticised him disloyality, were also calling for him to go, after a terrible start to the season, following a poor end to the previous one.

Had he stayed, would he have lasted longer than Holloway, I suspect not, and the same people who 'spite on him' for leaving, would have been demanding his sacking.

In the end, it all worked out for the best for the club.
