Wasnt at the game today but heard he set up the winner. He got in their team after about 10 games and has been present since then and been integral to their team. Never understood some of the criticism he got on here and sitting above us in the table now. Always been a class act

Showed our lot how to whip a ball in. Made our 1st time balls look like 4th time balls. The cross for the winner would be creamed all over MOTD if Beckham had crossed it over.

To be fair some of his play when he was here was not that great. His deliveries were poor, but has turned into a very capable player and good on him.

Never got pressed when in possession the lad played at a stroll. His dead ball deliveries were top draw, caused us all kinds of problems. If only we had players that could deliver quality balls into dangerous areas.

When it comes to set pieces and long ball passes, well I’m not sure we have had anyone better than him here since he left. Would bloody love to re-sign him.

My recollection was that he got a lot of stick for his ineffectual set pieces with many people questioning why he kept taking them for us. He played ok today though and he's one old player I wish all the best to.

always liked watson when he was with us, warnock was a prick for dropping him. saying that, his corners were gash, never beat the 1st man

Sadly he was much better than Cabaye today, especially in terms of set piece delivery. Also reminded us how much we miss MacArthur. Well played the ginger, and well played the crowd. Not many oppo players get applause as they go over to take a potentially dangerous corner!

He left because he made it clear he wanted to play in the PL, before he missed the penalty at Brizzle City and the same game where Warnock was attacked by Brizzle fans But shock horror there was little publicity about.
Taking the bungy jump since 1964. Never to see John Jackson in a shirt again Sorry to see Lee Hills go, did we ever see Alex Marrow? We did January 2013 |

The boy Watson had a great game. He dominated the midfield but then that wasn't hard to do!

I remember taking a lady friend to the Ricoh a few years back to see us play Coventry. She knew little about football but asked me: "Who is that ginger haired guy? He is the best player on the pitch" She wasn't wrong. How good would he be to us now? Just imagine him paired with Cabaye and with Gayle and Adebayor up front .. then we would see proper football (and loads of goals)
