Just got my tickets for Southampton and it's a category A £40 match. What makes Southampton category A I wonder.
I'm so Palace I don't even know it |

I could just about understand (not agree with) Southampton on Boxing Day being Cat A, but to make it Cat A for a regular slot seems steep. It's like saying Southampton are local enough to be considered in the local derby bracket and therefore Cat A like QPR and Wham were last season. It's a little bit rich what with Christmas expenses just around the corner, it probably won't sell out at Cat A prices. Shame, and a bit retrograde... What next, Leicester and Norwich to be considered local derby Cat A matches!?!?!?

There is a need for category B Teams - the majority of our opposition cannot be category A, other wise matching (for A & B) becomes almost impossible. There is a feeling that away tickets are over-priced. The need to secure future support is possibly being over-looked. I can see the day when excessive prices mean that clubs three to five days before the match could find themselves "paying" to get stadia reasonably filled.

If anyone has a couple of tickets for Southampton, ideally Lower Holmesdale, I would be obliged.
