I ws reading someone's memoirs of their childhood in South Norwood during the period after WW1 and up to the end of the 1920s. He supported Palace at that time and remembered that before every home match the crowd sang Abide With Me. Anyone else heard that or know when the tradition died out? (The book btw is Crystal Palace Vistas by Roger Hutchings)
Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial |
