Not to be confused with Ben E from Crossroads Have to admit that he never really excited me too much as I've never really been able to stick Stand By Me* but I work with an old soul boy and he's given me a list of tracks to research. *overplayed, a bit dull for me** and the John Lennon effort is dreadful

Although Ben E King was probably best known for hits in the late 50's/early 60s with The Drifters and solo like Stand By Me, he had a return to form in 73/74 with soulful Supernatural Thing He also did an album with Average White Band, called Benny and Us. RIP
