If you aren't in a rush, Windows 10 is rumored for July.

i would prefer an old one with windows 7, even if the new ones are the same price.

Windows 8.1 is fantastic, plus Windows 8.1 and 7 users get a FREE upgrade to Windows 10 when it comes.

When I brought mine I went onto curry's website and apples to look at there returns as our IT guy at work said about it to me. Mine was returned as it has a scratch on the chrome lettering of Toshiba (or however you spell it) but was about £200 less than new price. They have to rebuild all the inside etc if there's a problem so as long as your not too precious about a cosmetic scratch it's worth a look

all down what you want it to do

basic word stuff & internet, most will run that, anything more and you may need to buy second hand as you will get more for your money.
