In need of some advice from all you fellow musicians out there. I write a lot of songs, sing and play guitar. I struggle with coordinating some of the more complex guitar riffs with the more complex vocals, so am contemplating getting a loop pedal. I also love the idea of sampling, creating instrumental stuff and beat boxing as elements to my music. I also have a keyboard/synth in my possession (with gooseneck mic) to use for a bit. My thinking is how versitilte can a sub £200 loop pedal be? Ie, internal memory, output quality, channels, ease of use/versitility etc? I know nothing about them! Original plan was to buy a korg microsampler off eBay for circa £250, but part of me is thinking id be better building my home studio around a cheap pedal and spending a bit more on a lite version of Ableton/Logic etc so I can actually get my work down. What would you guys recommend? I can probably spend up to about £500 this year on building up my kit. Thanks all!

I uses to dabble in making music on my puter [Link] and Used cubase which was pretty easy. Not sure how to use external instruments, however I know some programs allow you to plug yer guitar into the pc directly.

K T Tunstall has been a bit quiet lately. Tweet her and see if she's game on for selling hers.

An old Akai sampler would still do a good job as an external source but most DAWS have sample manipulating VST's I hear this is quite a good bit of kit to have NI's maschine
