I'm after buying a printer and I know nothing about them. I'm looking for a printer that can print on paper or photographic paper for photos. I would also like a built in scanner, copier, WiFi etc and hopefully a printer that takes the lesser expensive ink cartridges as I have heard they are quite expensive depending on what brand a printer you have.
The most I want to pay is £50. Can anyone recommend one that matches what I am looking for? Many thanks.

Epson are the best in my opinion. I have two a Workforce 1100 (for Sublimation) and a Photo 1430 for (Inkjet)If I have a massive job I use my Copy & Print guy which works out at pennies per print. I also have CIS attached so I don't piss about with those piddly cartridges of ink. The cost of the printer in the long run is pretty irrelevant Its the Ink that kills you, and as your probably using this for home/office use I would go for a Laser printer which uses a toner rather than Ink. Anything by Dell would be your best bet.

Most inkjet all in one printers will do what you require. However the cost of printer cartridges will send you to the poor house. Get one that will allow refills from bottled ink. Search the web to find suppliers on the net. £30 ink kit will last for a couple of years.

What are the printers that take the bottled ink called? I literally know nothing about printers so I don't really know what to look for..

Bottled ink is a diy refill kit that you order and refill the cartridges yourself. Printers only take a certain type of cartridge usually specific to the model
