I can't remember where all the rest was posted so started a new thread. The BBC and ITV have now gone OTT and invited the Greens and the regional nutters too. 7 people on stage will be a pointless exercise.

If they were going to take the piss with the new proposals, why not get George Galloway involved? Opportunity missed.

Can I remind people that this is about policies and recommend a visit to: voteforpolicies.org.uk If you've not done their policy survey, it can be a real eye-opener!
I also enjoy posting on: Love Everton Forum, the Acceptable Face of Scouse Football. |

They made so nobody can win but anyone can lose. I doubt this is the end position.

A meaningless spectacle where in politics shows its true colours, that its all about winning, rather than being right, by demonstrating that the only skill required to run a country effectively is public speaking. Its like deciding the 400 metres, by measuring who has the biggest feet.

This is getting even more ridiculous: When reports of the new proposals emerged on Thursday, DUP leader Peter Robinson said he would be writing to the BBC and ITV to ask why his party was not included in the new offer

This year, I will be "shaking my own hand" to the debates. I'll vote for whoever's eyes I see first post orgasm.

Well if the Greens weren't invited Dave was going to take his oval Rugga shaped ball away ...basically because the Tories have the BBC (which is actually right of centre and not left wing) the Sun, The Daily Mail, the Telegraph and the Daily Express, the Tories worry that a real live shot of posh boy will be hammered by Ed Miliband who while admittedly a geek can actually debate very well. The Tory papers can't control that so they don't want it to happen. The Greens always present themselves well too when out of the Tory Paper information monopoly too - so Bring it on.

Invite 32 parties and have a knockout. The contestants can be seeded, like Wimbledon, or just random pairings. Get the pollsters to arrange a fair voting system to determine the winners of each debate until the final and winner is declared. I'd love to see Farage v Galloway as a good lively debating pair.
