So now you're frantically scouring the Mail Online looking for things to get outraged about. Wasn't Fox News bats*** crazy enough?

"Frantically' well hardly, I just thought that it was an interesting article about how too much Union power ruined a perfectly viable business. Seth if I didn't know better I'd say your going a bit 'Swivel eyed?'

My eyes are perfectly aligned and 100% forward-facing thanks Jimmy.

Forgive me if I don't comment on the article. I trust the Mail Online about as much as I trust Fox News, which frankly isn't very much.

The French unions are well known to be heavy handed and the workers are said to be lazy - but that is simply one end of a scale and there are always 2 sides. Consider the other end of the scale being the horrific reputation American Employers enjoy in the UK (assume the same worldwide) trying to impose their culture (and some may say arrogance) on overseas companies that they purchase, without any thought, little knowledge and limited consideration for the people, their lifestyle or their history. Maybe that, with 1170 people employed and the American offering to employ 330 odd the demands for approx 600 seem pretty reasonable in the eyes of the French?

He's not trying to buy it to save the French Company - I suspect he's trying to buy it as he sees he can get it cheap and make money and, sadly, all that seems to have happened is that he's had a massive tantrum and pulled out, insulting the French and Russians along the way and chucking in the usual US comment about 'commies,' Seems to be a pretty typical un-empathetic American employer to me, trying to buy a typical French Company and reported on by a terrible site / paper.

That's why our economy is thriving and Europe is in recession. Foreign companies want to come here and invest and that's why unemployment is low. We don't have these stringent employment laws which hinders business and gives power to Unions.

Economy thriving? Tesco are now using the fact they are collecting for food banks as a promotion! No one should need to rely on a food bank in 2014. Who is it thriving for? No stringent employment laws? What has this lead to. Massive increase in zero hours contracts. More working people than ever are below the poverty line.

It was, thanks.
As you have an active interest in 'Unions', I guess your next article will be relating to the effect of 'a lack of Unions' in business? Without trying to steal your thunder, and as you're in the vicinity, I guess Walmart would be a very good start?
