Say what you like I thought he had a great touch. Obviously ate all the pies, but hey, nobody's perfect.

He had class, seeing him and Lombardo at Selhurst was pretty unbelievable. Honestly, it makes some of the daft stuff on the TRANSFER TALK pages seem almost sensible....almost.

I wet myself when we signed him, this was a genuine world class player in his day and him and Sweden put england out of the euro's in 92.
Run round like a silly sod to get his contract and then he didn't want to know once he'd put pen to paper.

It was just so embarrassing watching this rather large man, strolling about Selhurst with his belly almost sticking out of our sacred Reo n Blue. Never again. In fact Attilio seemed to make him look worse by comparison.

He's a bit of a TV personality these days. I spend bleeding chunks of my life in Stockholm (big client there) and he pops up on Swedish TV with alarming frequency. Still not averse to a pie or two by the looks of it or, put another way, he hasn't gained much weight since the end of his playing career.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

He didn't look fat to me, not compared to some of the players we've had such as Ruddock, Shipperley, etc.

That compared to last month's 20th anniversary match for the 1994 Swedish World Cup squad that finished 3rd.

Those of you who can understand Swedish or use Google Translate, here is an interview with Brolin on his signing for Leeds.

[Link]

The highlight is "When I signed for Leeds I travelled back 40 years in time!"

He does not know why Howard Wilkinson stopped talking to him. He said "I don't know why he turned off the tap, it isn't because I was bad. I would play a match, score a goal and then be dropped 2 matches later."

Brolin played 12 times for Leeds scoring 4 goals.
