Been to over 30 games this season with my son and I thought yesterday was the loudest we've been. Stood at the back of P7 and the sound was immense. On another site someone said that we missed the HF and were louder at Arsenal but I disagree. We nearly took the roof of that stand off yesterday and that was after 3 hours of non stop singing on the boats and in the pubs. GAO Boat 1 was superb - we had Kevin Day on board and the disco played all the old greats - The Clash, The Who, Beatles, The Specials, even Simon and Garfunkel. All the Palace songs came out. Great day out after a wonderful season. My son is 16 and in his 11th year as a Season Ticket holder and I'm so glad we experienced such a great season together with our Palace "Family."

I was at the back of the stand and noticed there were no HF around. Didn't affect the atmosphere, which was top-notch, but anyone know why the HF lads weren't there yesterday?

Thought we were really good, but the intensity had dropped a little (understandably) . There were times it was insanely loud (the fast version of the "cpfc" chant nearly deafened me) but compared to the explosion of noise at Selhurst against liverpool we seemed to be deservedly enjoying the day.

I do think a lot of voices were suffering after the boats as well - the Thames got pretty loud!

Deciding to do the "ole's" for their passing was my favourite bit

Yh I agree with Hambo,

I was 15mins late to game as had prior engagement but could hear Palace from almost Putney Bridge Station!! but thought at times was flat.. It was either extremely good or bit flat.. think theres been a few better though but only my opinion.

all in all no other team comes close to the atmosphere we have.

I think as Hambo has said the fact that there was a lot of beer consumed before the game had an impact. I was GAO2 and there were some really pissed people before we even got on the boat!

Quite funny that we cheered their first goal almost as much as they did. Great day out

I am sure they had a couple of lads in like they always do, but would have been hard to get tickets for the whole lot of them as they aren't at every away game en masse. I also guess the whole last day inflatables business isn't really for them and I dare say police attention made hiring their own boat or whatever tricky.

Shame though - but I am sure they are enjoying the fact that what they started has seen Palace fans as the envy of many clubs. Selhurst had really become incredibly dull and negative before their attitude and noise spread.

I thought we were good but not at our best. What we did do though, was show our club in a great image. Had a scan of Fulham forum's and they're praising our noise, support, wit and also for not just slating them for being relegated. Most of the Fulham fans to the left of us just videoed us singing as they'd clearly not seen support like that before.

Every club in the country want to have fans like ours. We're a credit to the club and long may it continue.

A great day out, I really enjoyed it,

now the task is to take our atmosphere to the next level.
I notice a lot of other fans saying we are typically noisy because its our first season back in the premiership, I dont think thats the case

we're the Arthur, we're the Arthur, we're the Arthur over here!

Fair enough. Totally agree about what they've sparked off though. We were average before they emerged, now we're much better than that and, even without them, we are capable of producing great support like yesterday.

Thought it was good but not our greatest. I reckon the set-up of the stand had a lot to do with it. The reason Peterborough and Charlton were so good last year was the shed-like quality of the stands. At Fulham the roof was a bit higher but more importantly the slope was less steep. We weren't all piled one on top of another.

I started near the back where the sound really was brilliant but then joined my nipper at the front and it all got lost down there, no funnelling effect from the roof.

I would love to hear a view from the Fulham fans. They didn't sing much but I was quite surprised when they got going, actually pretty loud.

And yes, the oles when Fulham were passing the ball around were brilliant.
