It seems with the money sky are now pumping into the premiership, they want to safeguard the teams already here with a global audience, the gulf is now massive and how do we feel about it. Getting relegated from this league it was never a given that you would come straight back up, Cardiff are now going down getting more money than man u got last season for winning the league, are they really gonna find things as hard going down with 60 mill to help them out. Look at the three teams that are coming up, okay we proved with hard work, the right manager, board, players, it is possible but even with all the right things it wasn't easy, how are these teams going to compete against teams that now have a £70 mill head start. Rivalry is a massive part of football and i still hope the worse on ours but look at the liverpool game could you imagine the atmosphere of palace vs millwall in the premiership, realistically what are the chances of that happening because i cant see it happening at all. Selfishly all i really care about is being able to support palace, we got lucky and promoted at just the right time and should never come close to worrying about administration now. I think our future is looking safe enough but i cant help fell sorry for the "smaller" clubs now seeing the bright lights of the premiership get further and further away. Anything can happen in football and things can change overnight but sky and the prem are doing the best they can to make it harder than ever before.

we were lucky to get pulis as our manager, otherwise we would be back with the "smaller clubs" in the championship....

No I do not think so !.We cannot afford free bubbly and prawns for all at half-time so we remain one of the poor relations. We still wait for the crumbs to fall from the rich man's table but at least we get in under the table now. It takes time to become a fully fledged member of the elite so be patient and we one day might sit at The High Table and guzzle.

Three clubs have to come up from the Championship every year and if you look at the clubs that do it is not always the wealthiest Championship clubs that do. We are proof of that. We (along with Swansea, Southampton, Norwich and Hull) are also proof that its possible for clubs of our size to stay up.

Over a season it is very much about a squad of 25 now, will we ever be able to compete over a season for a champions league position, no chance, the gulf between us and the big clubs is unattainable without a billionaire backer.

I have spent so long feeling sorry for myself and CPFC that I have no feelings to spare for other teams' struggles...

It seems only yesterday that many anxious Palace supporters were putting money into a pot in order to pay off a debt (£17K?) to the St. John's Ambulance Brigade. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Palace v Millwall in the top flight has happened before.
