This is his comment from the BBC Sportsday feed today. "This has been Jose Mourinho's first season back in English football and he says: "I like to be back in English football. I don't enjoy defeats but to lose at Crystal Palace is English football. To lose at Newcastle, that is English football. To lose like we did against Sunderland or Aston Villa, is not English football. I like English football, I don't like what is not English football.""

I wonder what he really means by 'English Football'?? Seeing as Newcastle are pretty French.

Must be due to the Ref decisions. I don't think we or Newcastle had dodgy decisions given to us. I now Sunderland did.

Or it might be that we worked our socks off and went full on counter attack towards them rather than parking the bus. We outplayed and outmanoevered them

What he's saying is that when you lose to a committed team playing with their hearts on their sleeves, well, it happens and that's what English football is all about. When, on the other hand, you lose simply because you don't perform against average teams that barely have to play competently to beat you, that's unacceptable and not a reflection of English football but instead, your own failures.
Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God. |

Boom spot on IMO

I think Mourinho just loves the fact that our players worked there socks off, and our fans get behind the team. After all he did applaud us when we played at Stamford bridge and I'm sure the next game at Stamford bridge he was trying to get the fans going. I mean how shameful that a manager has to do that!

It's a moan wrapped in a compliment. No mention of West Ham just to piss off fat Sam.
Optimistic as ever |
