OK I have waited all day and still no thread so... 1. What the f*ck was Damo doing in that area of the pitch...yes it was a free kick, but lurking outside the box and we take a short one ?? 2. What possessed him to try his luck from 25 yards ?? 3. Anyone else have serious man love for a player who deserved that so much last night - he has been outstanding for me this season and since he joined ? 4. How much must he be thinking thank f*ck I dint jack it all in, go to the USA and play for the Des Moines Paedo's or some other stupidly named team ??? He has been complemented by the composure of Dann so well since January - brains and brawn at the back - We need depth at CB but I hope Damo and Dann are the first choice pair for next season

I think he was up for a set piece free kick, but they took it quick and short instead of lobbing it into the box. Liverpool weren't bothering to match up, so it made total sense because we walked it up to the edge of the box. He was just standing there and no one from Liverpool bother to close him down. So why not take a punt? after all, Lampard gets half his goals that way and he just evened up the deflected goal tally on the night.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

He's always bombed forward in games and good on him. It's a quality to centre backs that when done right is class, good examples are like Ferdinand, Ramos, Thiago Silva

Took me a while to work out who it was! Just great that he's crowned his season with a goal. I have a feeling his position will be one that TP will look to strengthen next season, but nothing can take away the fantastic job he has done for the team so far.

Damo has been absolutely immense for us, right from the start. Came in when we couldn't defend for sh*t at the beginning of last season and turned it round almost instantly. I remember seeing him come in against Sheff Wednesday and thinking 'Bloody hell, he's a beast!'. There was a brief spell where it looked like he might be out of his depth this year, but with great team organisation from TP and a perfect CB partner in Dann he has just stepped it up again. So chuffed for him, and I really hope he keeps his place into next season.

I also liked the way when Suarez went flying into the advertising boards behind the goal and looked up expecting a hand to get back to his feet, Damo just turned around and jogged off. I like his attitude, the opposition aren't friends when you're on the pitch.
